The Rising Star Award honors individuals and programs that exemplify excellence and dedication to serving the needs of students in the transition from high school to college.
This award encourages state and regional affiliates to look within their associations, identify and nurture those new members and programs that are deserving of this honor and also encourage the honorees to continue their professional development through membership in NACAC.
Award winners and one representative from each winning program will receive a commemorative award from NACAC, presented at the national conference, a complimentary individual membership for one year in NACAC and their state or regional affiliate, and complimentary registration to the national conference for the current year. Winning program recipients are encouraged to present a session highlighting their program at the subsequent national conference. A letter of appreciation is sent to the winners' employers and a press release is sent to their hometown newspaper. Winning programs will be announced in the NACAC Bulletin and state and regional affiliate newsletters.
To apply: Download the Rising Star Award information (83K PDF) and application (93K PDF) and submit the application to the president of your state or regional affiliate.
